Sailor Moon R episode 73 review
Chibi-Usa throws a temper tantrum, then steals Usagi’s brooch and attempts to go “back to the future” – her words, not mine. She also wants some of those Sailor Failures™ to stay away, but instead they try to protect her, with disastrous results. All four Sailor Failures™ get sucked up into a UFO spaceship. I am not making this up.
After the Sailor Failures™ are gone, Usagi gets mad at Chibi-Usa and tries to slap her. Tuxedo Mask forbids this, so we’re likely to get a sob story from Chibi-Usa in the next episode where Usagi has to apologize to Chibi-Usa. Which isn’t fair, because Chibi-Usa deserved a worse fate than what she got. I mean, she ran out in front of cars on a roadway, and jumped from a two-story apartment. These ridiculous moments made me laugh – unintentionally – but they ought to earn her more than just a slap. Instead, we’re probably going to have to hear about how Usagi hasn’t been nice to Chibi-Usa, and blah, blah, blah.
