Eyeshield 21 episodes 95-96 review
So Sena is hurt, and that means the rest of the team must carry on without him. They give up 21 points in the blink of an eye, but then they gather themselves together and start playing well. So well that they get… one… first… down.
Seriously, we’re made to believe that the team is working great together and figuring things out, and all they got was the one first down. To put this in perspective, this is like a marathon runner falling down, losing a ton of time, then getting up, and taking one step forward. Getting a first down in football is easy. It would have been one thing if they scored a touchdown, but come on.
Then Sena wakes up (how in the world do you play on when a teammate is knocked unconscious for an hour?), and he leads his team to victory. In other words, the team was hopeless without him. In fact, the team is so reliant on him, you might as well call them the 2017 Green Bay Packers. Just as that team couldn’t win without Aaron Rodgers, so this team can’t win without Sena.
Oh, and the next episode was a clip show. I know, my favorite.
