Black Clover episode 28 review
Black Clover turns into The Dating Game in this episode. Three girls are matched up with Asta, Luck, and that other Black Bull guy. I was hoping this would be funnier than it was. The problem is that the girl matched up with Asta pretty much falls in love with him within a couple minutes. I know it’s not supposed to be realistic, but this is ridiculous.
Luck and the other Black Bull guy get rejected pretty quickly, but Asta’s new love interest not only makes a confession to him, but also decides that she’s not giving up even when Asta admits he’s got his heart set on “someone from my…” Noelle, of course, is creeping up to listen, and she figures that it’s her. As a result, Noelle goes full tsundere.
As cliche as it is, I do like the Asta-Noelle romance. I know, I know, it’s about as predictable as it gets, but I do like them together. It’s made better by the fact that Asta is still obsessed with Sister Lily. Now if they could be given a better show around them, that would be nice.
