Black Clover episode 18 review
Mars has been defeated, but not killed. He’s instead paralyzed by a binding spell, which works about as well as you can expect it to. Obviously not very long, as he escapes from it within a mere half-episode. Then he goes to try to get revenge, and Noelle is his first victim.
This obviously infuriates Asta, who is Noelle’s designated love interest. He attacks back at Mars, using his “anti-magic non-magic magic.” And he borrows some of Noelle’s magic while he’s at it. What happens in the end? Well, that’s a bit of a cliffhanger, but suffice it to say that Noelle, Asta, and Mars are all in grave danger.
(As a bit of an aside, I’ve softened my stance on this week’s Jojo episode. While I still was disturbed by it, I’ve come to the realization that it wasn’t meant to be as disturbing as I took it to be. That being said, it still makes me queasy.)
