Black Clover episode 10 review
This week’s episode is good, yet too cliched. You’ve got Noelle still in her stuck-up royalty mode, but being overpowered, if she could only figure out how to use it. You’ve got Magna making the big sacrifice where he’s going to die, except of course Asta SAVES him at the last moment. And you’ve got Asta, who pretty much is Naruto at this point, all the way down to the yelling.
I enjoyed the episode, where the three Black Bulls work together to save the villagers, though of course the “Old Man” is dead, and the three captured guys in super-cliche fashion kill themselves in order not to give a bit of information to the Bulls. If this is where the series is headed, I can stomach it. The only thing keeping it below Jojo right now is Jojo’s unintentional humor. You know how much I love unintentional humor, when a show’s so bad it’s good. But if both Black Clover and Jojo start taking themselves too seriously, I don’t know what I’m going to do.
