SP 8-10: Needs more Hinako

Sister Princess episodes 8-10 review

Hinako

Hinako is far and away the best sister in Sister Princess. She’s cute, she’s adorable, her voice makes you melt, and she always has something funny to say (in a cute-funny way). This time, she wanted a “quacky” – a innertube with a duck. I love any time she graces the screen with her presence.

Unfortunately, she’s only one of 12 sisters. Don’t get me wrong, there’s not a bad sister in the bunch, but the less I see of Hinako, the more I tune out. The other sisters are great, but they just don’t make my heart melt the way Hinako does. So these episodes were slice-of-life and good at it, but not great.

2017, Week 12: We’re at that point again

2017, Week 12: Steelers 31, Packers 28

Here we are again. The Packers have 6 losses two-thirds of the way through the season. The only way to the playoffs is to… run the table. Unfortunately, this time “running the table” means doing something with Brett Hundley at QB. Hundley was serviceable last night, but his record dropped to 1-5 since taking over for Aaron Rodgers. That is utterly putrid.

+: Davante Adams. Might make the Pro Bowl despite his team’s poor play.

-: Pass defense. Exposed once more.

2017 Green Bay Packers: 5-6

Next week: vs. Tampa

E21 63-64: Go Splash Go!

Eyeshield 21 episodes 63-64 review

E21 64

Hiruma calls time-out with 2 seconds left, and then comes up with a play. It’s a pretty popular one – Sena leaps over the pile into the end zone. But he’s going to precede it with 9 “huts.” In the NFL, we’d call this a cadence trying to get the opponent to jump offside. In any case, on the 9th “hut,” Sena takes the ball and goes for it. But he gets caught! He’s going to be tackled and not get the game-winning TD… but Komosuba saves the day! He tackles the tackler, and with that, Sena scores the touchdown to win the game, 24-23!

There was another episode with a white-haired pipsqueak aka Toshiro Hitsugaya, but I’m not really sure what the purpose of it was. It was all about episode 63 and the utter coolness of Sena’s game-winning TD run.
