Sister Princess episodes 1-2 review
Sister Princess is an anime based off a dating sim. That’s probably all you need to know to have your siscon radar going off. A boy named Wataru fails his high school entrance exam by misaligning his answers on the test, so he gets sent to an island with a ton of cute girls. The catch? All of the girls are actually his little sisters, and all of them fawn over him.
The king of siscon is Oreimo. Oreimo doesn’t get enough credit for being a good anime; all anyone remembers is the final episode. This is totally different. We don’t have the siscon yet; we just have Wataru meeting all his sisters, who are all different in personalities and looks. Also, this series is rated PG-13. My guess is that we never even go the siscon route; we just toy with it and subvert it, very much the same way Oreimo did until it crossed the line.
Overall, I found these first two episodes to be humorous and super-super-cute, and while it’s not on the level of the last “Princess” anime I watched (that would be Princess Nine), it is at least entertaining and a good addition to my anime watching block.
