Eyeshield 21 episodes 53-54 review
In these episodes, the Deimon Devil Bats face a team called the Scorpions, and Hiruma has gone missing. That means that the plain guy (that’s sort of what they call him) has to take over on offense. He stinks it up, but Sena comes in and runs for a touchdown to make the score 14-6. (Remember, the Devil Bats have no kicker AND they either miss every single two-point conversion or purposely choose not to potentially get two points on the board.)
Then Mamori opens up the gameplan that Hiruma gave her, which was only to be opened after the 1st quarter. Inside, Hiruma has exactly predicted the score, the situation, and how they got there. Then suddenly Hiruma appears on top of the stadium and jumps all the way down onto the field. He takes over, and Deimon wins 42-14 with an all-time record of 7 missed two-point conversions in one game. (That last part is just my assumption from the score.)
I like seeing Eyeshield 21 getting back on track, even if it’s never going to be a Princess Nine in quality. At least it was more entertaining than the last few weeks have been.
