Baka & Test episodes 12-13 review
Baka & Test finishes its first season with a couple of episodes that were mildly funny, but too focused on these “ST Wars” to make me laugh the way the earlier episodes did. Some of the siscon stuff is still present, which is either funny or disgusting, pending on how you feel (I fall somewhere in the middle; I can laugh at it even though it’s kind of sick). There wasn’t as much Hideyoshi fanservice, which is a shame because Hideyoshi’s the funniest character on the show (though s/he does get a little bit of time in Episode 12). And some of this seemed a little too serious for a comedy show.
For Baka & Test as a whole, I’m happy with the series as a whole and disappointed that I only have the one season (unfortunately it’s not on Crunchyroll). Some of it was too serious for my liking; it’s not that I don’t like serious plots, it’s just that this series was made to be funny, and the serious stuff feels “off.” But overall, I loved the romantic comedy part of it. I’m going to have to get the second season in order to find out more about the wonderful world of Baka & Test.
Also, Hideyoshi is best girl.
