Day 10: Favorite Seiyuu/Voice Actor
I’ll give one for Japanese and one for English. For Japanese, I’ll go with Aya Hirano, the wonderful actress who played Haruhi Suzumiya, Konata Izumi, Misa Amane, Mamori from Eyeshield 21, and many others. Her voice is amazing, and I love her music.
For English, I’m going with Cherami Leigh. Cherami has risen up the ranks like a shooting star, becoming famous for roles such as Sailor Venus, Asuna from Sword Art Online, Lucy from Fairy Tail (which is on my watch list), Liechtenstein from Hetalia, and scores of others that my mind is blanking on right now. Plus, she’s a Packers fan. The best of both worlds, a fan of the greatest team in professional sports, and one of the very best voice actresses in all of America. Oh, and she’s full of positivity and a real joy to meet at cons. I really can’t say enough good things about Cherami.
Hunter x Hunter episode 57 review
The intensity is kicked up another notch in this episode. One. More. Notch! Bam! Leorio actually does something useful for the first time in 30 episodes, as he pretends to call someone on the phone, while giving subtle hints to the held-hostage Gon and Killua. The lights are going to go out at 7 pm, so Gon and Killua better close their eyes to prepare for it. When that does happen, Gon and Killua are unable to escape, but Kurapika captures “the boss” and now the whole game is turned on its head.
Kurapika’s ruthless behavior in this episode makes it great. He hangs up on a member of the Phantom Troupe after he talks back to him. He also is wearing a wig when he first appears, looking like the girl we all know he is. (Kurapika is a girl, making my crush on him completely kosher! Not that there’s anything wrong with that…) And Kurapika is about to kill “the boss” but Melody talks some sense into him. (Okay, maybe Kurapika isn’t a girl. He just has to get married to Melody. Unless I get him first.)
Pakunoda is forced to come to the boss’s location alone. Kurapika is threatening to kill “the boss.” But what about Gon and Killua? Is Kurapika going to leave them hanging out to dry while he takes his revenge on the Troupe? Or will cooler heads prevail? Oh, and is Hisoka going to get his chance to fight “the boss”? All this and more in the exciting conclusion to the Yorknew City arc!
