Eyeshield 21 episodes 5-6 review
These two episodes may make you think that not much happens in a game of American football. We get six, maybe seven plays in these two episodes? In the first play, which takes by itself over half an episode, Sena takes the ball and uses his teammates as “human shields” to block all the way to the end zone. Then comes the extra point, which Hiruma calls off once the defense bursts through. Sena picks up the ball and ends up getting tackled for a loss. The two-point conversion attempt fails, and Deimon is up 6-0.
In the next episode, Sena intercepts a pass by timing his jump perfectly and catching the ball with great skill. He returns it to the opposing team’s 13-yard line, where it is incorrectly ruled “first-and-goal.” Actually, from the 13, it would be the usual first-and-10, with a first down being able to be achieved if Deimon reached the 3-yard line. In any case, a couple plays later, Deimon has fumbled, and the linebacker for the opposing team returns it for a touchdown. The odds are not in Deimon’s favor at this point.
I hope for more characters to be introduced, but for the time being, these have been entertaining episodes.
